Deputy Manager- Reporting and Documentation
Job Location: BRAC International, Head Office
BRAC International established Emergency Preparedness and Response Programme (EPRM) to strengthen emergency preparedness skills and knowledge of the organization, aiming to build safer and resilient community. EPRP aims to effectively increase emergency response capacity building of human resources and setting up preparedness system and manage emergency responses based on the lessons learned from previous experiences.
The focus of this position is to manage the reporting and documentation of the Emergency Preparedness and Response Programme of BRAC International.Responsibilities involve synthesizing knowledge from across all programme activities, including implementation experiences, monitoring results and research findings, and communicating this knowledge with national and international audiences.
Assist to develop concept note, proposal, situation report, action plan and presentations for relevant stakeholders.
Producematerialsand publish them through various platforms for the wider audience.
Assist to writehigh quality donor reports in collaboration with country teams and BRAC International monitoring units.
Share Knowledge on Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Response within and outside BRAC.
Developconsolidated country risk assessment reports and multi hazard risk assessment reports for designing emergency response strategies and implementation of plans considering internationally accepted standard.
Ensure beneficiary and partner feedback is incorporated into programme design, planning and learning.
Support to promote and facilitate BRAC International humanitarian branding at regional and global level.
Masters in Social Sciences/ Communications/Disaster Management/ Development Studies/ Geography and Environment/ Science or other comparative university degree
Experience in development sector, specially on DRR and Humanitarian works;
Experience in developing proposals, project reports, action plans, brief notes and presentations;
Knowledge in geographic, socio-economic, political context of Asia and Africa;
Good command in English, especially in analytical writing and speaking;
Ability to demonstrate values, core purpose and principles of humanitarian work;
Ability to receive and provide feedback and updates to achieve improved results;
Proven ability to do multiple worksand use limited resources effectively;
Ability to work under pressure with self-awareness, cultural sensitivity, respect to diversity, flexibility and adaptability;
Ability to make time to learn from experience and feedback, and apply the lessons to a new situation;
Experience Requirements: At least three (03) years of relevant and extensive experience in NGOs/development sectors;
