Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, the finest 5-Star Hotel in Beautiful Bangladesh, is being operated by Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Singapore and a member of the Global Hotel Alliance encompassing over 450 upscale and luxury hotels & resorts in different countries.

We are inviting application from Bangladeshi Nationals for the position of Director of Food & Beverage in the Food & Beverage Department. The candidate must fulfill the following criteria to qualify for the position:

Position: Director of Food & Beverage Responsibility:

Director of Food & Beverage shall be the sole responsible for overall operations of Catering Sales and all Out-lets of Food & Beverage Department including Kitchen Operations of the Hotel. The incumbent has to perform the following duties but not limited to:

Manage & Monitor activities of all Associates in the Food & Beverage Department as per the standard of service excellence, policies & procedures, where needed. Must ensure the high standard of food quality and service in all the OUTLETS to our international and local guests.

Establish a culture in selecting innovative menus for more attraction of Hotel guests. Handle and resolve all guest queries, complaints, problem and special request and any other issues that may arise as and when required basis in an efficient manner and to establish an amicable relationship with all clients, customers and guests of the Hotel.

Able to prepare business plan, budget & meet the revenue target per month with KPOs. Develop and implement product promotions, food and beverage pairings, menu items, state-of-the-art recipe preparation and presentations.

Provide & arrange proper training for the associates of Food & Beverage Department and ensure that all personnel are kept well informed of Department objectives, policy, procedures & Code of Business Conduct.

Estimate food and beverage consumption in order to anticipate amounts to be purchased or requisitioned from the Cost Control. Also possess sound knowledge on preparing purchase proposal of Capital & Operational items.

Develop and implement menus of different region as per guest mix of the Hotel. Make a Liaison with Food & Beverage and Other Departments regarding Maintenance work at banquet/ function rooms for preventive maintenance to get the job done for any upcoming event.

Should have sound knowledge for preparation of manning budget and proper utilization of manpower in the different Out-lets of F&B Department. Conduct competitive market analysis including pricing of Restaurants & Bars. Also conducting local customer research based on trends and lifestyles.

Identify key market segments for each F&B outlet and provide new ideas for attracting new customers as well as repeated guests. Must have the personality and administrative capability to run the biggest Department of the Hotel.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Masters from a recognized University with good track record. Graduation from a reputed Hospitality Institution will get preference. Maximum 50 (Fifty) years of age as of last date of submitting the application.

Minimum 10 years of experience in F&B Department where 4-5 years in Kitchen background. Overseas experience holder will get preference. Sound knowledge on food menus, recipe & quality standards. Culinary & Chef experience will be an added advantage.

Should possess strong networking capability, entertaining clients, ability to plan ahead and ready to work under pressure. Ability to implement and maintain Food & Beverage and other relevant policy.

Other Requirements:

Presentable personality, well groomed, courteous and excellent inter-personal relationship skills. Commendable documented communications proficiency both in spoken & written English and Bangla.

Other language proficiency will be counted as an added advantage. Familiar with MS Office package and Internet Browsing. Strong Leadership skills.

Should have a “Can Do Attitude”. Ready to work extra hours irrespective of Duty schedule based on emergency situations. Job Facilities: Excellent working environment and competitive salary package.
